The Pac Rim Board and I are pleased to announce the 2027 Pacific Rim Shellfish Sanitation Association Conference, to be held March 30-31, 2027, at The Heathman Lodge, in Vancouver, WA. If you are flying in, the Portland International Airport (PDX) is closest to the venue
The Pac Rim Board meeting will take place on the evening of March 29 at 7pm and is open to all attendees. The Pacific Region State Shellfish Laboratory Evaluation Officers and Managers (PARLEOM) meeting will be held from 8-12pm on April 1st at the same location.
Conference Highlights
Planned agenda topics for March 30-31 include:
- State, Laboratory, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association (PCSGA) updates
- ISSC recap and discussions
- Grower perspectives and updates
- Sessions on Vibrio control, biotoxin updates, new threats and concerns, bird management, and more
- Evening reception on March 30th with shellfish from local growers
